The Signatures 2025, formerly known as the Innovative Housing Challenge, is one of the most anticipated events for construction professionals. A true benchmark for architectural and construction trends, it highlights projects that successfully combine innovation, respect for the site, environmental quality, and technical excellence.
Organized by Pôle Habitat FFB, this event brings together each year the most ambitious companies in the sector during the Innovative Housing Days. Being recognized, and even more so winning a gold medal sends a strong message: one of acknowledged expertise and a vision celebrated by the entire profession.
L’Ancrage : an exceptional project between mountains and lake
The award-winning project, named L’Ancrage, perfectly reflects Eden Home’s DNA: a pure and contemporary architecture shaped by its surroundings, supported by precise and sustainable engineering.
A demanding site, an exceptional opportunity
Located in Cuvat, just 10 minutes from Annecy city center and 30 minutes from Geneva, the villa is set on a steep 25% slope, crossed by networks, subject to strict regulations, and offering a unique panoramic view over Lake Annecy and the surrounding mountains. This complex context required a bespoke architectural response and carefully considered technical solutions.
Architecture shaped by the landscape
Each architectural choice feels like a natural response :
- A prefabricated concrete base firmly anchored into the slope
- An Alpine timber structure, sourced from a certified local supply chain and processed at the Chaumontet sawmill
- Prefabricated timber-frame walls ensuring millimetric precision, faster construction, and a significant reduction in waste
- A post-and-beam structure allowing for large openings onto Lake Annecy and the surrounding mountains
- A slatted façade design that interacts with light throughout the day
The combination of wood and concrete creates a strong, contemporary architectural expression, perfectly integrated into its alpine environment.
